We are open as usual – taking referrals but supporting via telephone or virtual if people have the IT to do this. Lots of activities and support provided. We are also still busy with the Home from Hospital discharge service – getting food and meds to clients as well as emotional support etc. Please check out the website www.carersresource.net for all our services.
As well as our general carers support service via helpline and 1:1 phone support, we are helping Adult carers who are providing caring support, to connect with others during this difficult time via fortnightly online Carers Resource lead activities. This is an opportunity for carers to take part in something fun or just have some time out doing something for themselves. Session activities vary each fortnight with crafts, relaxation, invited speakers, etc – please contact us for more details.
We are also providing a variety of online activities for our Young adult carers who are aged 16-25 who are interested in still linking to others within a similar age. The activities are regularly and are focusing on our carers interests. The activities are open to any young adult carers who are gaining support from our service, so please do get in touch if they would be of interest. We also have a Young Carer Service 8-18 which is also doing activities and regular contacts with all YC’s
