Tyro Training are hosting a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid.
ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop—anyone can learn and use the ASIST model. Since its development in 1983, ASIST has received regular updates to reflect improvements in knowledge and practice, and over 1,000,000 people have taken the workshop.
This course is heavily subsidised and the course fee is just £20 per person to cover resources for not-for-profit organisations, and £80 per person for businesses.
Places are initially limited to 2 per organisation, but we will operate a waiting list if you would like additional places. Delegates must be over the age of 19 to access the funding.
The course takes place in Scarborough on 8 & 9 July 2019, 09.00-17.00.
